Mi Gente My People
I hate being in front of the camera. I think this is true for many photographers. We feel safe behind the lens, telling people how to pose and where to look. 2009 is the year of personal experiments for me, and here is one that I want to share with you. I’ve decided to record myself interviewing a few friends with the objective of letting the Sacramento market know where the best vendors are and this conversation will force me from behind the camera and into the hot seat. The video below is my first stab at this experiment. My personal goal is to feel confident and find my voice, thank you Vu and the crew of Camera Dojo for this idea.

The boys recorded this video with the Rumba of my old neighborhood. Check out the group Tres Coronas - their sound llama la sangre Latina.
The truth of the matter is this, I’m not into Hip Hop, though I can respect it. I’m a fan of Kayne West and P.Diddy has come a long way and has proven to the world that he is a true business. I found P.Diddy’s VBlog and Lil Wayne and said Don’t try to be different, just be you and if being you doesn’t work then this isn’t what you should be doing”, damn that was good.
